BCP Silt Fence is a high-performance sediment barrier designed to prevent soil erosion and control runoff on construction sites, landscaping projects, and areas with disturbed soil. It helps keep silt and debris on-site, protecting surrounding stormwater systems, water bodies, and infrastructure from contamination and sedimentation.
Made from woven polypropylene geotextile fabric and supported by durable hardwood stakes, BCP Silt Fence is quick to deploy, effective under varying site conditions, and compliant with most local and state regulations.
Whether you're working on new development, grading, or landscaping, this is your go-to solution for effective perimeter control and environmental compliance.
Why Choose BCP Silt Fench?
Effective Sediment Containment: Traps suspended particles while allowing water to pass through.
Heavy-Duty Woven Fabric: Manufactured with high-tensile polypropylene to resist tearing and UV degradation.
Pre-Attached Stakes: Comes ready for quick installation, reducing labor time on-site.
Easy Installation & Removal: Unroll, drive in the stakes, and secure in place—no special equipment required.
Environmentally Compliant: Meets typical job site requirements for erosion and sediment control.
Flexible Use Cases: Suitable for residential, commercial, and DOT projects.
Cost-Effective Performance: Durable for short to medium-term use without unnecessary material waste.

Site Preparation:
✔ Identify slope direction and water runoff flow paths
✔ Clear the area of debris, rocks, and vegetation
✔ Grade the site to ensure proper water flow toward the fence line
Fench Placement:
✔ Unroll the silt fence along the perimeter or downslope edge of the disturbed area
✔ Position the bottom of the fabric into a trench at least 6" deep
✔ Drive stakes into the ground at 36" intervals to hold the fence upright
Securing & Final Checks:
✔ Backfill the trench over the base of the fabric and compact the soil
✔ Overlap adjoining fence sections by at least 6" and secure with staples or ties
✔ Inspect regularly and after heavy rains to ensure integrity and sediment collection
BCP Silt Fence is UV-stabilized and built to last up to 12 months depending on sun exposure, weather, and site conditions.
While it is designed for temporary use, undamaged sections may be reused for short-term or low-impact projects.
Yes. BCP Silt Fence is compliant with standard erosion control specifications used by DOTs and local building authorities.
At least 6 inches of the fabric should be trenched and backfilled to prevent sediment bypass underneath.
Absolutely. It's ideal for use along the base of slopes or contours to capture runoff and sediment.
Kept our site compliant during inspection
We used BCP Silt Fence for a commercial grading project, and it held up throughout the entire construction phase.
